This is a personal knowledge base in the very broad domain of information science and management, encompassing activities across the entire information lifecycle, including:
This PKB is an ongoing project, i.e., a mess, and I am its primary audience, so for each topic, its depth and extent of coverage reflect my own answer to the question How much do I care about this and/or what do I find so intuitive or memorable that it doesn't need to be written down? In other words, this knowledge base may not work an introduction for new learners or a refresher/reference for advanced learners. It really is personal.
I use this place as a sandbox to play with implementing information management skills and concepts, e.g. conducting a network analysis of links between content. I use it to build an overview of how the topics I study interrelate (important for global learners and important for generating revolutionary innovations); to summarize and synthesize important ideas; to consolidate references created by myself and others within a single portal; and to track my completion of courses and reading. Along with this site, Zotero and the GTD system play an indispensible role in my personal learning and productivity.
